Our Story and Vision

I've always liked Labrador Retrievers since I was a child but my parents were pretty much against me having a dog due to the commitment needed to keep them. Kettle Labradors started in late 2020 when we adopted our first Labrador Retriever named Kettle. He was a rescue from a puppy mill and was the only Labrador Retriever available for adoption so my eyes were set on him. At that point of time I didn't know anything about well bred dogs or the breed standard, all I cared for was getting him out of the mill, and also finally having a Labrador. After Kettle passed on from fighting the various diseases he suffered from when he was at the puppy mill, I started to read more and understand about the world of well bred dogs. Kettle's death started my journey on advocating for well bred dogs and so, my kennel is dedicated to him. Read more about his story here.

Through learning from and speaking with reputable preservation breeders from around the world, I have come to gain very valuable knowledge on showing and breeding Labrador Retrievers. I am still very early on this journey and I strive to gain as much knowledge and experience as I can. I would like to specially thank Wilhelm Chang of Labraddell Labradors in Australia for his guidance on this journey and placing his trust on a new person like me with his wonderful and accomplished lines.

At Kettle Labradors, we not only strive to produce Labrador Retrievers that are healthy, sound, and conforms to the breed standard, but through our small breeding programme, we sincerely hope to influence other breeders here to fully test their breeding stocks and learn more about what it means to breed dogs in a responsible way.

Because everybody deserves a healthy and well bred dog.
